Beauty Fighting Drugs

On Tuesday, September 28, 2010, a Sky Fashion Show was held on the Naccache Bridge, over the highway of Dbayeh. The show was organized by Mr. Jeff Zalzali, ex Mr. Lebanon, in collaboration with Mrs. Nataly Fadlallah, owner of Nataly’s Agency and board member of Jeunesse Contre la Drogue – JCD, under the patronage of his Excellency Mr. Fadi Abboud, Lebanese Minister of Tourism. This event is the first of its kind in Lebanon especially that it was intended to achieve a charitable goal as explained by Mr. Zalzali and Mrs. Fadlallah who stated that an overdose of beauty will hit the stage on Tuesday in order to fight drugs through selling a dress to the invited VIPs and raising funds for Jeunesse Contre la Drogue – JCD. These funds will be used to furnish a new rehabilitation center at Ftouh – Keserwan, declared Mr. Elie Lahoud, the Founder and General Manager of the organization.

The show, hosted by Mrs. Rima Sayrafi, started at 9:00 pm. by the National Lebanese anthem followed by a folk tableau presented on the rhythms of an anti-drugs song. Standing for Mr. Fadi Abboud, Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Claude Karam delivered a speech in which she welcomed the event, stressing the noble cause for which it was mainly held. Then, 15 beautiful models from Nataly’s Agency conquered the stage, swinging on the romantic songs of the opera singer Paphos and dressed in the latest winter collection of Lebanese designer Fadi Nahleh.

At the end of the show, designer fadi Nahleh presented 2 dresses to be sold by auction to raise funds for Jeunesse Contre la Drogue – JCD. Mrs. Jane Nassar, owner of Jane Nassar Institute, bought a dress for $8.000 and donated the additional sum of $2.000 for the organization as well. Mr. Rony Aoun, General Manager of City Mall, donated $1.000 for the organization, too.
